Returns

Please choose carefully. Many of our products are hand finished for you and thus, we do not offer a change of mind policy. We pride ourselves on our high quality workmanship and we are bound by Australian and New Zealand law to refund or exchange products that are not fit for purpose, all products are covered by our warranty. Any costs incurred for the return of products are to be met by the original purchaser.

Warranty

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Our warranty applies to the original purchaser for a period of 24 months from the date of delivery and covers manufacturing faults and defects occurring in the materials. If an item should fail as a result of a manufacturing fault or defect under normal use, Nightworks®, at their discretion will repair, replace or refund. Nightworks® reserves the right to substitute failed items with a different size and/or coloured item, should the original size and/or colour no longer be available. The original warranty period is not extended in the event of a replacement.

Use of aftermarket LED drivers, not supplied with our fittings, will void all warranties offered.

The warranty does not cover, but is not limited to, the following: Any costs associated with servicing, installation or removal of product, damage caused by incorrect or unreasonable use, normal wear and tear, failure to provide proper care and maintenance, marking or fading from use, ageing and oxidisation, scratching, staining, discolouration or damage caused by contact with unsuitable chemicals or materials.

Nightworks® must first be notified of a warranty claim in writing. Photos of goods in question must be emailed to hello@nightworksstudio.com
Upon receiving goods for inspection Nightworks® may request further information in order to assess the warranty claim.

The warranty covers the cost involved in the repair but excludes any transport or freight costs associated with the claim. It is the consumer’s responsibility to cover any cost of delivery of goods back to Nightworks®. Once a claim has been accepted, and a repair or replacement has been agreed upon, Nightworks® will cover the cost of delivery back to the consumer.

Care

We pride ourselves on the quality and workmanship of our products. Our fixtures are engineered using solid, honest materials and are designed to last a long time. Please remember that brass is a natural product and it will inevitably age over time. Our brass is an organic, living finish. This patina process depends on the atmospheric conditions and type of original finish specified. Our brass products are wax sealed to delay this ageing but no warranty is offered to cover the natural patina that can occur over time. Simple maintenance will preserve the look and extend the life of your product for years to come.

We recommend wearing gloves when installing and cleaning your light fittings. Do not use fly spray or aerosols near your light fittings - this can corrode your solid brass pieces causing irreversible damage.

Brass

Our brass is sealed with a wax finish. This is to help the brass breathe and develop an aged patina over time. Due to this, cotton gloves should be worn when touching any waxed brass surface. The oil from contact with fingerprints can affect the finish causing permanent damage.

Wipe down occasionally with a dry microfibre cloth to remove any surface dust. Avoid using harsh cleaning products as they may cause permanent damage. Only use fine cotton or extra soft cloths.

Glass

Frosted glass should be treated with care. The glass can be cleaned by wiping with a soft damp cloth or glass cleaner (be sure to use a cleaner that contains no additives or harsh chemicals). Use fine cotton or extra soft cloths. Apply glass cleaner directly to a soft cloth rather than spraying on to the fixture to avoid overspray that may damage
any brass fittings.

Painted finishes

Powdercoating requires little maintenance. However, as a general rule, cleaning should take place every two-three months. Using a damp cloth, carefully remove any loose surface buildup. Do not use solvents.

Repairs

If you should happen to damage your light fixture or any component within your light we can help with repairs or replacement parts.
