Warranty

Returns

Please choose carefully—many of our products are hand-finished for you, and we do not offer returns for change of mind. We stand by the quality of our workmanship and comply with Australian and New Zealand consumer laws. If a product is not fit for purpose, we will offer a refund or exchange in line with our warranty. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the original purchaser.

 

Warranty

Our products come with guarantees under New Zealand consumer law that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund in the case of a major failure, as well as compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a product fails to meet acceptable quality standards without a major failure, we will repair or replace it.

Our warranty applies to the original purchaser for 24 months from the date of delivery and covers manufacturing faults and material defects. If a fault occurs under normal use, Nightworks® will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or refund the item. If the original size or colour is no longer available, we may substitute it with an alternative. Warranty replacements do not extend the original warranty period.

Use of aftermarket LED drivers not supplied by Nightworks will void all warranties.

What’s Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from incorrect or unreasonable use.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Failure to maintain or care for the product.
  • Marking, fading, or patina from use and ageing.
  • Scratches, stains, discolouration, or damage from unsuitable chemicals or materials.
  • Installation, removal, or service costs.

Making a Warranty Claim

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing, with photos of the product, to support@nightworksstudio.com.

We may request further information to assess the claim.

The warranty covers repair costs but excludes transport or freight. The purchaser is responsible for shipping the product to us, and once a claim is accepted, we will cover return delivery costs.

 

Care

We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Our fixtures are made from solid, honest materials designed to last. Brass, as a natural material, will develop a patina over time. This process varies based on atmospheric conditions and the finish specified. While our wax-sealed brass slows this ageing, we do not offer a warranty against natural patina development. Simple maintenance will help preserve your product’s appearance.

Handling & Cleaning

  • Wear gloves when installing or cleaning.
  • Avoid aerosols or fly sprays near your fittings—these can cause irreversible damage.

Brass

  • Sealed with a breathable wax finish to encourage natural patina.
  • Wear cotton gloves when handling waxed brass surfaces to prevent oil damage.
  • Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust—avoid harsh cleaners.

Glass

  • Handle frosted glass with care.
  • Clean with a soft damp cloth or a gentle glass cleaner (without additives or harsh chemicals).
  • Apply cleaner to a cloth rather than spraying directly onto the fixture to prevent overspray on brass fittings.

Painted Finishes

  • Powder-coated finishes require minimal maintenance.
  • Clean every 2–3 months with a damp cloth to remove surface buildup.
  • Avoid solvents.
