On the edge of a secluded Sydney harbour cove, a once-disjointed concrete shell has been redefined as a calm, connected family retreat by Fe Design Interiors.
This three-storey home, perched on a steep incline and framed by water views, presented its fair share of complexity: from compliance issues to a disjointed internal layout. But with a clear vision and confident restraint, the renovation has transformed it into a sanctuary of form and function. A place where modern family life flows quietly, yet deliberately, across levels.
A palette of soft whites, limestone, and natural textures grounds the space, punctuated by teal and tangerine to echo the nearby sea and sky. The reconfiguration of expansive windows, along with thoughtful landscaping and structural refinement, brings an openness that feels almost effortless. Every design move is intentional. The 9-metre-high limestone spine that anchors the stairwell; the vertical screening that shifts light and shadow across the façade; the understated elegance of custom joinery and surfaces layered throughout.
Our Duomo Piccolo Stem Wall Lights offers a sculptural touch beside the beds. In the bathroom, the Code Delta Kilo is a subtle punctuation point, bringing geometry and glow to moments of pause.
It’s a home that doesn’t compete with its surroundings, but instead allows them in.
