With its restrained design and purposeful layout, this kitchen elevates simplicity to an art form—a vision brought to life by Paiano Design.

Winning the title of 2026 KBDi Australian Kitchen Designer of the Year, we’re honoured to see our Tasman Double Pendant and Duomo Piccolo Stem Wall Light featured in a space that truly deserves such recognition.

We asked Eliesha Keenan, Owner and Founder of Paiano Design: How did the Nightworks Studio pieces sit within the wider project materiality and design brief of the space? 

"The Tasman Pendant sits naturally within the kitchen’s social heart, introducing a sculptural element above the space while providing a warm, considered glow. Considered for its subtle but architectural aesthetic, this pendant adds detail without distraction.

Alongside it, the Duomo Piccolo Stem Wall Light provides a more delicate layer of illumination. Its elegant, pared-back profile works harmoniously against the surrounding surfaces, casting a soft glow that brings warmth and dimension to the kitchen. Positioned as a subtle architectural detail, it contributes to the layered lighting approach while maintaining the sense of simplicity and calm that defines Blue Muse.

Together, the Tasman Pendant and Duomo Piccolo Stem Wall Light create a balance between sculptural presence and understated illumination. Their warm light enhances the natural textures and tonal finishes throughout the kitchen, shifting the atmosphere from bright and functional during the day to intimate and inviting as the evening unfolds.
